Escape to Rosa Alpina’s Luxury Wilderness Cabin in the Dolomites

STORY BY Emmanuelle 12th March 2019

Rosa Alpina is offering guests the opportunity to unplug and get back to nature with a stay in their luxury mountain cabin, located at a staggering 6,500 feet. With no Wi-Fi, limited phone signal, and no hot water, the two-bed cabin is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the dramatic region of the Dolomites.

To reach the hut, hike or cycle from the hotel through mountain plains peppered with wildflowers where marmots can be spotted playing. In the evening, a barbeque is prepared by the chefs whilst guests watch the ‘Enrosadira’, the Dolomites’ famous pink sunset. Breakfast the next morning is delivered by the hotel.

Located in San Cassiano in the heart of the Dolomites, Rosa Alpina is family owned and run. With sheepskin chairs, pine furniture and soft Berber rugs, it is the epitome of chalet chic. The modern alpine spa and yoga room have floor-ceiling windows with views of the pine forest and valley. Rosa Alpina can organise guided hikes, rock climbing, cycling and nature walks for adults and children.

The hotel’s three Michelin-starred restaurant, St Hubertus, has a firm commitment to sustainable food using only locally sourced products with no waste, the only restaurant of its calibre to do so. In the mornings, head out and watch the chefs foraging for wild herbs to use that day.
