Giant Troll to Return to Breckenridge

STORY BY Patrick 10th March 2019

A giant troll made of reclaimed and recycled wood is due to return to the Colorado mountain town on Breckenridge this summer.

The original giant troll named “Isak Heartstone” created by Danish sculptor Thomas Dambo was a big success last year, created as one of many installations inspired by themes of mountain culture at the 2018 Breckenridge International Festival of Arts.

However 15-foot-high Isak was so popular some local residents near where he was located complained about all the visitors he was attracting to their locality and he was disassembled in the autumn.

Although it has been announced that Isak, or one of his friends, will definitely be returning, exactly what he’ll look like this year or where he’ll be located is not yet known.

Parts of the original Isak were removed or recycled in to other objects but the new giant troll will contain some elements of the original, it has been revealed.
