Picture Organic Clothing Launches Sustainable Outerwear, featuring Sorona® Synthetic Down

A the story of three childhood friends: Vincent, Julien and Jeremy. They all come from different backgrounds, but what they have in common is their love of board sports: on snow, water and asphalt… In 2008, they launched a board sports brand decidedly different from the rest: unique because colorful and offbeat, but also completely eco-friendly and ethical; Picture Organic Clothing.
When thinking of warmth for the winter, many think that down jackets are the best option. Thanks to new fabric innovations, this is no longer the case. Enter Sorona®, a renewably sourced fibre that delivers superior performance benefits to sustainable clothing.

Picture’s eco credentials mean that it’s incredibly important for them to use fabrics and technologies that are kindest to the environment so using Sorona® in their ski jackets was the perfect solution.

Sorona® is essentially a synthetic down made from 37% annually renewable plant based ingredients which is soft, very strong and quick drying. It helps fabrics to stretch comfortably and is ideal for snowsports and all outdoor active wear use. It can be blended with other fibres making it versatile, offering plenty of potential for future product developments.

This is a great technical development for the snowsports and outdoor industries.  Check out the men’s and women’s collections at PICTURE ORGANIC CLOTHING
