Tackle New Routes in the Second Edition of Oisans Trail Tour

STORY BY Megan Hughes 28th June 2018

After a successful first year, the Oisans Trail Tour is back! Taking place on 20 and 21 July 2018, the event leads trail runners through Vaujany, Les 2 Alpes, Auris-en-Oisans and Villard Reculas, and can be attempted individually or in relay teams of two or four people.

This year, the 80km route has been adjusted and involves passing peaks more than 2700m high, dozens of glittering blue lakes, seven mountain passes and even more dramatic scenery than last year. The Oisans Trail Tour has also introduced three new shorter routes for 2018; trail-runners can take part on a 30km, 15km or children’s track. Both the 80km and 30km track are qualifying races for the International Trail Running Association.

Registration is still open for the event, which takes place in three weeks.

If you’re looking to take part, the Tour’s website has many coaching tips for runners to ensure you really get the most out of the Trail Tour.
