Celebrate World Gin Day with a Unique Welsh Seaweed Experience

STORY BY Megan Hughes 9th June 2018

When it comes to water, we all know that mountain water is some of the best and freshest water you can find. Water that lands on these mountains finds its way to streams and springs, ending up in our rivers, lakes, bottles and… gins?! With today being World Gin Day, there’s never been a better time to discover a unique gin experience with an aquatic twist amongst the beautiful mountain and coastal scenery of Ceredigion, Wales..

Head down to Glynhynod Farm in Ceredigion and you can see how Dà Mhìle Seaweed Gin is made. This seaweed gin is created with hand selected botanicals, and is a famous St David’s Day delicacy. The tempting tipple is designed to complement seafood dishes and is infused with handpicked seaweed from the Celtic coast.

The fascinating tour will takes you through all the processes from distilling to bottling and labelling as well as seeing how the distillery’s whisky is aged. Plus you get to taste some of the products in the tasting gallery – the most important part, of course!

If you’re a gin fan planning to visit Wales this summer, this is not one to miss

Tours run on Wednesdays and Fridays only at 3.00pm and prices start from £10.00 for a one hour tour.
