Hollywood comes to Crans Montana

STORY BY admin 3rd April 2018

Les Rencontres du 7ème Art Lausanne Film Festival First Edition (24-28 March 2018), to which Le Régent Crans Montana College is an official Academic Partner, was a great success with more than 7000 participants.

The event was conceived and created by the actor Vincent Perez, ambassador of the school and its Chairman Karim Sghaier.

Amongst the many celebrities who took part in the festival, several (such as Berenice Bejo (“The Artist”), Christopher Walken (“Deer Hunter”), Darren Aronofsky (“Black Swan”), Tim Pope (Video clip director for The Cure and David Bowie) and Barry Levinson (“Rain Man”, “Good Morning Vietnam”)), have been offered the opportunity to discover the Valais region, the Crans Montana resort and Le Régent College in particular where the initial idea was born. They were absolutely enthralled by their visit.

Le Régent College is now an authorised IB World School. From September 2018, our students, aged 16-18 will study the IB Diploma Programme. As pointed out by Dr Siva Kumari, IBO Director General, we are “part of a global community of schools committed to developing knowledgeable, caring young people who will be ready to negotiate their futures successfully and make contributions resulting in a more harmonious and peaceful world.”
