Axe Throwing New Activity at Whistler

Whistler Blackcomb in BC, Canada has announced as lot of new activity options including the chance for visitors to unleash their inner lumberjack and experience the thrill of throwing axes.

Available at the resort’s ‘competitive axe throwing centre’, Forged Axe Throwing, located in Function Junction, as well as at Cougar Mountain Axe Throwing in the depths of the forest, the experience of throwing an axe is available to first timers and experienced timber sports veterans alike.

A number of games are on offer, with prices from $20 at Cougar Mountain Axe Throwing for a 20 minute session and $35 for one hour at Forged Axe Throwing.  The facility is open year-round.

Whistler Blackcomb has also announced that the new Whistler Peak Suspension Bridge will open this winter.

The bridge will span 130 metres from Whistler Peak to the West Ridge, crossing high above Whistler Bowl and offering captivating views of the mountain range.

The West Ridge Viewpoint will consist of a multi-tiered viewing platform with 360° views from Whistler’s Peak. The cantilevered walkway will extend 12.5 metres out from the West Ridge and 50 metres above Whistler Bowl.
