Bolid’ster, the company behind a revolutionary jean made with Armalith 2.0 Technology, have begun a Kickstarter campaign in order to help them expand their new collection of Motorcycle Armoured Denim.
Bolid’ster’s new range showcases the best of what is possible with the Armalith ® 2.0 technology. It is a 100% French brand that boasts the ‘most reliable denim ever’ and is perfect for bikers looking for a strong, reliable, stylish jean.
The Bolid’ster story began in 2003, when Pierre-Henry Servajean created Armalith, an ultra-resistant denim made from space age fiber (UHMWPE).
In 2005, some intrepid stuntmen tested these Armalith jeans under real conditions (falls at more than 100Km / h over tarmac), the jeans resisted and thus entered the legend. In 2008, a 4 tons 4×4 Hummer was lifted up by an Armalith jean.
In 2011, Armalith was recognized by ESA and the American Space Foundation (NASA) and in 2014, they were able to make the material much more supple, stretchy and adorned with genuine indigo. Hence, in 2016 Bolid’ster reliable denim was born.

The Armalith 2.0 is a single layer genuine denim that exceeds any abrasion resistance standards (Cambridge or Darmstadt), while improving substantially on all the other aspects of the perfect denim – softer, hydrophilic, lightweight, power stretch, multi bath indigo dye.
Derived from a technology transfer with the aerospace industry, Armalith 2.0 is the first composite fabric constructed for the manufacture of clothing, a patented textile innovation that enables the world’s strongest jeans.
Armalith 2.0 is a brilliant “architexture” that allows you to integrate technology into the fabric and clothing. It is obtained by assembling a cotton with the UHMWPE fibre, which was, until now, reserved for space, military and offshore applications.

This has led to the development of an authentic denim at heart, which has all the mechanical qualities of leather.
They are now appealing for financial backing to create their new Armalith 2.0 collection, to bring more colours of jeans as well as adding a jacket, a short and T-shirts made of organic hemp for a complete look. They have currently raised just short of half of their target, with just under a month to go.
