This year, the iconic Méribel Trail celebrates its 10th anniversary. Ranging from 2-35 km the Méribel Trail consists of a network of hikes varying in difficulty and length, catering to a wide range of hikers. Located at the gateway to the picturesque Vanoise Massif and the vast Les 3 Vallées ski area, whichever route visitors take will lead them through dramatic landscapes, natural beauty and an abundance of wildlife. For nature lovers, take the scenic Lac de Tueda trail, for spectacular views, more experienced hikers can tackle Mont Vallon.
The Game Over Festival hosted at the Parc Olympique in Méribel is the ultimate event for fans of virtual worlds, video games, and pop culture. Fans can immerse themselves in a fantasy realm with virtual reality, an exhilarating paragliding simulator, and the chance to see famous movie cars like the Harry Potter Ford Anglia. Visitors can enjoy pop culture activities, e-sport tournaments, 70 video games in freeplay, and a retro-gaming area. The festival also allows visitors to meet influencers from YouTube, Twitch, and Tiktok.
Méribel offers a plethora of hiking trails catering to all skill levels, from leisurely strolls to challenging ascents. Aspiring mountaineers have the chance to tackle the highest Via-Ferrata in France, located above Méribel Village. Culminating at 2,739 metres, La Dent de Burgin via, also called La Croix des Verdons, offers a gruelling route along a ridge with steep rocky sections. The Via Ferrata offers a stunning way to experience Les 3 Vallées, with sweeping views over Mont Blanc and the highest summits in the Vanoise and Les Ecrins mountain ranges.
Fly down the mountain at the Méribel Bike Park
Visitors to the Méribel Bike Park can enjoy a thrilling mountain biking experience with trails for all skill levels, including downhill, enduro, and cross-country routes. The park features well-maintained paths through rich forests, open meadows, and rugged terrain complete with jumps and technical sections. Bike rentals, guided tours, and skill sessions are also available for those looking to hone their skills or for first time riders. The park’s lift system provides easy access to higher altitudes, offering majestic views and extended downhill rides.
Get a hole in one at the Méribel golf course: Home to one of the most beautiful golf courses in the Alps, Méribel’s 18-hole course is perfect for any level of golfer. Set in the middle of the Altiport alpine forest, tee off to the backdrop of postcard-perfect vistas this summer. Open from early June to October, golfers can make the most of the luscious course, passing through its greens, fairways, bunkers and water basins, all whilst enjoying the views of Saulire peaks and over the Méribel Valley.
Ride around the Lac de Tueda: Open all year round, Ranch Nordique offers a new way to discover the most beautiful spots in the valley. Explore nature in a different way on a horse-riding adventure through deep pine forests and crystal clear alpine lakes. From beginner to advanced, the rides are suitable for all levels and ages. Zen Altitude returns to Méribel in July 2024 for two days of relaxation and well-being in the fresh open air.
