Tegstove offers high performance cooking and it will charge your devices too
As seen on Dragon’s Den, Tegstove is the must-have family camping and festival gadget for 2017. The innovative, one-of-a-kind portable gas stove is backed by ‘Dragon’ Peter Jones and is ideal for campers, festival goers, anglers and outdoor enthusiasts. Using sophisticated technology and smart design, Tegstove offers robust stability and high performance cooking, with the capability to charge mobile phones, cameras, tablets and many other devices that connect to a standard USB port, all in one simple to use gadget.
Inventor Spencer Turner explains: “As a team we’ve created a camping stove superior to anything else out there right now and one that eliminates all of the usual frustrations. Efficiency, reliability, portability and safety were at the top of the wish list and the beauty of Tegstove is it meets all of these requirements with great simplicity. Three adjustable legs provide a stable platform across 300mm of ground, so no worries about it toppling over, the heat is distributed over a wide cooking area too so you won’t just burn everything in the middle of the pan and it uses widely available, cost effective and clean-burning butane gas.”
Tegstove uses a powerful Thermoelectric Generator (TEG) to produce energy, which is stored in an internal battery and harnesses the power of safer butane gas. Standard camping stoves will often use a mix of butane, propane and isobutene to create a gas that works better but Turner found this to be an expensive and unstable method. Readily available butane is a more efficient gas and the lightweight cylinder is stored easily inside the Tegstove when not in use, saving valuable space when camping.
Tegstove (RRP: £150) is now readily available to purchase via numerous outlets including Cotswold Outdoors, Millets, Blacks, Go Outdoors, OutdoorGB, Sports Direct (Field & Trek), Total Fishing Tackle and at multiple outlets online.
