With demand for cycling in France up by nearly a third (31%) according to the latest figures from France Vélo Tourisme, chalet rental specialist OVO Network has teamed up with bike rental company Bcyclet to offer guests a 5% discount on bike hire and accessories from big brands such as Scott and Apidura.
Bcyclet offers delivery of the rental bikes directly to over 200 OVO Network chalets across the French and Swiss Alps as well as providing a range of services including private cycle guides, van support and airport transfers.
“Every year our owners welcome more guests who want to spend at least part of their holiday cycling. Some bring their own bikes, but for most bike rental is the easiest, most convenient option and Bcyclet delivers this in a high-quality package,” says Chris Thompson, Director of OVO Network, adding, “The new partnership is just the latest step in the development of our cycle offering. Our chalets offer first-class facilities such as hot tubs, saunas and gyms in incredible cycling locations, and now guests can have bikes delivered to their chalet any day of the week or arrange a private cycling guide – all with the discount available.”
A growing number of OVO Network chalets now have the official ‘Accueil Vélo’ (cyclists welcome) accreditation, recognising the cycle-friendly facilities they offer. These include items such as bike cleaning and maintenance facilities, secure storage and close proximity to cycling routes.
Upcoming Cycling events in France include:
