Escape to the mountains and save 20% in the Portes du Soleil this summer with Pierre & Vacances

The Alps may be closed to holidaymakers right now, but when the mountains burst back into life, the Portes du Soleil will be the perfect place to get active and to unwind. The world’s oldest cross-border ski and mountain biking destination, the Portes du Soleil is located between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc, covering the neighbouring Alpine regions of French Chablais and Swiss Valais, encompassing two countries and 12 resorts. Although the region is less travelled outside of the ski season, it has just as much to offer in the summer, with hundreds of hiking and biking trails set against the spectacular Alpine scenery. There are around 600km of marked trails in the area with varying degrees of technical skill required, as well as countless mapped road cycling itineraries to explore. In addition, holidaymakers can choose from a range of climbing, trekking and fishing excursions or an array of more transformative experiences, like horse-back rides in the mountains or taking to the skies over the Alps via helicopter, light-aircraft, or a hot air balloon. Leading accomodation group Pierre & Vacances has several properties in the region and is currently offering up to 20% off summer stays.

For example, a seven-night self-catered stay, at the four-star Residence Atria-Crozats in the Portes du Soleil resort of Avoriaz, arriving 14 August 2021, in an apartment that sleeps up to five people, is priced from £475 / £95 pp (was £594 per apartment, saving 20%). Return flights and transfers extra.
