Paddle Surfing With Friends in Bamburgh Northumberland

Last weekend’s paddle surfing conditions were amazing for Paddle Surfing with Loco.  Loco’s boss, Joe Thwaites, gives us the highlights on how it all went down…

“The forecast promised much, so a loose plan was hatched to meet a couple of mates up in Bamburgh with a view to surf lots and kip in the vans for 1 or 2 nights. On arrival it was soon clear that other friends had had a similar idea and there would be a throng of half decent SUP surfers trying their luck on the push. After a couple of hours of solid old school sliding on his Inca, Joe decided to grab his latest toy (Nikon Coolpix) get upto his neck and shoot some footage of his mates. The waves were about 2-3′ but the sun was out making it feel more like Hawaii than Northumberland. With beautiful Bamburgh Castle in the background it’s certainly some place to play. By no means the raddest of action, by Loco standard, but just too much fun!”
