34th MARATONA DLES DOLOMITES – PARTICIPANTS’ DRAW EDITION 2020

The appeal of the Maratona dles Dolomites-Enel knows no boundaries: cycling freely across the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is proving to be an irresistible joy.

It is well-known that the Maratona dles Dolomites-Enel is an internationally successful event, but it’s incredible to see just how many requests we receive every year on behalf of people wishing to take part in the competition. The 34^th edition is no different to its predecessors: 31,200 aspiring participants from 82 countries around the world and every one of the Italian provinces applied on the website. This number proves the anticipation around the most beautiful Granfondo in the world, an event sought after by thousands of cyclists from all over the globe. As far as we organizers are concerned, these numbers spur us to improve even more and to make us feel more responsible and even prouder of our work.

For safety and accessibility, the number of selected participants cannot exceed 9,000. This is why they make a random draw, publishing the names of all the successful cyclists on  www.maratona.it; those left out can try to apply through charity registration.

CHARITY REGISTRATIONS

The Maratona dles Dolomites – Enel has always made its charity work one of its strengths.

The non-profit/NGO “Insieme si può” (www.365giorni.org), an association that has been a friend of the Maratona for years now, supporting a project linked to the sustainability of activities of artistic growth and expression for children who are orphans of the war in Afghanistan.

• Environmental project in support of the Association Arte Sella. (www.artesella.it)
• Assisport Alto Adige (www.sporthilfe.it), another association that we’ve been following for a number of years and that supports real sports talents – youngsters who would otherwise not have the chance to pay for themselves to take part in competitions.
• Alex Zanardi BIMBINGAMBA Association (www.bimbingamba.com), an association followed by one of our closest friends and that provides artificial limbs for children who have suffered amputation and who are unable to receive treatment from the health care system.

194 higher-priced charity registrations will be available to buy online (payment via credit card) from the website www.maratona.it on 25^th November 2019, from 6pm onwards.

The higher-priced registrations are broken down into three categories:

• 175 GOLD registrations at a price of Euro 300
• 15 PLATINUM registrations at a price of Euro 500
• 4 CRYSTAL registrations at a price of Euro 1,500

Another 194 registrations (175 GOLD registrations, 15 PLATINUM registrations and 4 CRYSTAL registrations) will be up for sale from www.maratona.it on 25^th March 2020.
