What could be better for your child than learning a new language whilst in the midst of some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the world with a fantastic program of fun, stimulating activities. Alpine French School, the Morzine language specialists that offer both winter and summer holidays in the Alps, whilst learning French or English, has launched a new program with new activities for their summer camps in 2018.
The Alpine French School residential camp takes place in Morzine from July 8 to August 19, 2018. It is available for children between 11 and 17 years of age and students can stay for a minimum of two weeks and up to six weeks. The junior day camp is for children from 6 to 17 years of age and runs from July 9 to August 17 inclusive.
During the camp, French lessons take place during the morning sessions, with activities in the afternoon that are fun and active, with an emphasis on learning to speak French. The option of taking GCSE/AS-level/A-level preparation courses is also available during the summer.

A number of new activities are available, including Zumba, archery, Sarbacane (a type of blowgun), Archtag (2 teams battle with foam arrows), laser game, creative arts, yoga for kids. Other activities available include: Swimming, Adventure Park, Mountain Biking, Via Ferrata, White Water Rafting, Horse Riding and martial arts.
Helen Watts, Director of Alpine French School, said: “Some of our Activity Programmes have proven to be more popular than others, so we decided to make some changes for 2018 after listening to the feedback from students and their parents during the summer of 2017. The summer residential and day camps are becoming more and more popular every year and therefore we are able to offer students a wider breadth of activities. Students will now also be able to choose from a great range of diverse activities that suit their likes and interests”.
