Voyages to Antiquity is encouraging holidaymakers to take a historical journey back in time and celebrate the independence of three Baltic countries new to its 2019 European programme.
Hot on the heels of its Finnish neighbour, which marked 100 years of independence in 2017, Estonia will be increasingly front of mind amongst travellers over the coming months thanks to its centenary celebrations. In a similarly commemorative spirit, 2018 also represents 100 years since the restoration of Poland’s sovereignty to become an independent European country.
The maiden 14-day ‘Baltic Capitals & St Petersburg’ cruise, which sets sail on 3 July 2019, will be the first time the MV Aegean Odyssey enters the historic waters of the Baltic. Departing from Copenhagen (Denmark) the cruise calls at Stockholm (Sweden), Helsinki (Finland), a two-night stay in St Petersburg (Russia), Tallinn (Estonia), Gdynia (Poland) and Warnemunde (for Berlin, Germany) before returning to Copenhagen, where guests disembark. The seven-country cruise is priced from £2,995 per person and includes return flights, all meals and drinks with dinner on-board, guest speaker programme, onboard gratuities and shore excursions.
To celebrate the launch of its new Baltic cruise, Voyages to Antiquity is offering savings of up to £1,000 per cabin on its 2019 departure until the end of April 2018.
