The mountain resort of Crans-Montana, located in the heart of the Valais canton – Switzerland’s most popular tourist region, provides a wealth of opportunities for anyone searching for adventure or relaxation during the summer months.
But a new festival dedicated to families and their children has launched for the first time this year.
Am Stam Gram
The first edition of this festival is launching during the summer of 2019 from July 19-21, as part of an extensive family offering that has seen Crans-Montana awarded the exclusive ‘Family Destination’ label by the Swiss Tourism Federation as one of only two destinations in the French speaking part of the country.
The aim of the festival is to transport children into a world of games and immersive and participative adventures. Whether it’s on board a pirate ship, in the middle of a water fight on pedalos, or in a giant kitchen, Am Stram Gram is a place for all those who love to play games.
The Three day event features nine ‘worlds’, some fifteen workshops and a number of shows geared towards families and children of all ages.
Pierre-Henri Mainetti, Sales Director for Crans-Montana Tourism & Congress, said: “Crans-Montana is proud to have created a paradise for children in the mountains with the Am Stram Gram festival. We know that we have a fantastic place for families here during the summer and winter months, but events such as this one provide an icing on the cake for children of all ages”.
