The third round of next year’s Enduro World Series (EWS) will be heading to the island paradise of Madeira on May 11, 2019.
This beautiful tiny island in the Atlantic ocean made its EWS debut in 2017 and offers up incredible trails thanks to the dedicated work of the hosts Freeride Madeira. The diverse, technical trails proved a big hit with riders from around the world and proved a suitably dramatic backdrop for some tight and intense racing. Combining high altitude peaks, four seasons in one day and sea front views, Madeira is definitely one of Europe’s best biking destinations.
From rocky singletrack down volcanoes to tight trails through native forests, an incredible selection of both natural and purpose built trails have recently helped put Madeira on the global mountain biking map and we can’t wait to see what it has to offer next year.
Race Organisers Freeride Madeira said: “We are super stoked to welcome the Enduro World Series again in Madeira! The race in 2017 was a life changing experience for all of us and it really helped to push the sport and allowed the biking community to grow in multiple directions.
“We did our absolute best to give riders a variety of trails, terrains and landscapes – making it an adventure from start to finish. That’s what riding and racing is all about and that’s what the Enduro World Series stands for. What an honour to welcome the best riders on the planet to the Pearl of the Atlantic once again!”
