European Outdoor Film Tour Returning to the UK

STORY BY Megan Hughes 3rd November 2017

Escape from everyday life this winter by taking an adventure to the European Outdoor Film Tour, which comes to London tomorrow.

The European Outdoor Film Tour (EOFT) brings the best outdoor and adventure films to the big screen, often accompanied by the athletes and filmmakers themselves. For the last 17 years, it has strived to tell the most inspirational stories of those who love the outdoors. It is obvious there is an appetite for such stories; this year the EOFT is visiting 300 venues across 14 countries.

This year, seven movies have been carefully selected that are sure to stir feelings of adventure and a desire for travel in all who view them. The intention of the founders of the tour are to bring to the public the best films that give viewers unfiltered access to real, true outdoor adventure.

DUGOUT is a film that shows two British men navigating the mythical Ecuadorian jungle in their own handmade dugout canoe. Unexpected, compelling and visually beautiful, this is not one to miss.

FOLLOW THE FRASER tells the story of 3 mountain bike fanatics who want to rediscover their Canadian homeland and decide to do so by following the Fraser River from the Sunshine Coast to the Sibola Mountain range. It’s a thrilling, entertaining ride that will hold a LOT of inspiration for avid mountain bikers.

Finally, ICE CALL follows freeskier Sam Favret as he takes on the Mer de Glace, France’s largest Glacier. In this incredible location, Favret channels his freestyle roots, turning the ice into an effective terrain park for his (and the viewers’) enjoyment.

London, 4th November, The Rocket Complex

Birmingham, 5th November, The Crescent Theatre
