From 14 to 18 June, Les Gets in the French Alps is hosting Crankworx, one of the leading international events in the world of mountain biking. Alongside competitions with the world’s top riders, will be a bevy of shows, races for the general public and side entertainment.
Les Gets is the ultimate family resort with mountain biking tracks suitable for every age group, so it was only natural to give the kids their chance to take part in this amazing festival. Kidsworx offers riders six years old and up the opportunity to compete alongside the heroes of the sport, with competitions on the Pump Track, a Dual Slalom course and their own Downhill.

Events including races specially designed for kids (2-5 and 6-14 year-olds):
Wednesday 14 June: Dual Slalom
A Dual Slalom race sees 2 participants compete head-to-head on 2 parallel runs with similar courses. The 2017 edition will take place on “the Carry’s slope”. Training runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., with the finale running at 4 p.m.
Saturday 17 June: Pump Track Contest
Competitive riders, grab your bikes and head to the pump track to duke it out in one of the main Kidsworx attractions : the Pump Track Challenge. Training runs from 9 a.m. to noon, with the finale running between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Sunday 18 June: Downhill
The competition will take place on the top of the “Ecureuils slope”, on the Chavannes side. This fun track is 900 metres of off-camber turns, the D-95 metres. Training runs from 9 a.m. to noon, with the finale running at noon.
Sunday 18 June: the Run Bike Challenge, for the 2-5 year-olds
A new discipline for the youngest in the centre of the village with mini-bikes without pedals, easy to use, ever since really small.
