New Autumn Trail Race in The Dolomites

STORY BY Patrick 22nd July 2025

On Saturday, October 11, 2025, Alta Badia will welcome the inaugural Enrosadira Trail—a new trail running event designed to celebrate the region’s autumn beauty while spotlighting sustainability and local engagement. Limited to just 150 participants, this “Zero Edition” will act as a creative test-bed, inviting both elite and amateur runners to co-develop future iterations of the race.

The 60-kilometre course—with 3,000 metres of elevation gain—winds through some of the Dolomites’ most scenic terrain, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Starting in La Val, it takes runners past glacial lakes, alpine plateaus, waterfalls and mountain villages, all bathed in the pink-orange glow of the enrosadira—a natural light show unique to the season. From demanding climbs to quiet meadows, the route is crafted to deliver both challenge and spectacle.

More than a race, the Enrosadira Trail is a participatory and ecological initiative. Built on sustainable principles and backed by Alta Badia’s tourism office, brand partners, and local sports associations, the event aims to promote responsible mountain recreation and off-season tourism. Autumn’s textures—cool air, golden forests, and cultural stillness—form the sensory heart of this project.

Interested runners can register online here. With limited spaces and a unique role in shaping the future of the event, the Zero Edition offers something rare: not just a chance to run, but a chance to help build something lasting.
